Pour Christophe Barbier, rédacteur en chef de l'Express qui s'interrogeait dans un édito, elle est le symbole désormais d'une redoutable entreprise de communication qui a réussie au-delà de toutes les espérances, contribuant à sa libération conditionnelle. L'affaire Kerviel serait aussi le symbole d'une époque qui a connu la finance folle et qui n'en est pas revenu puisque le "business" y reprend toujours "as usual".
